About Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, or R6 Siege, is the thirteenth installment in the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Franchise developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft Entertainment. Siege puts heavy emphasis on environmental destruction and cooperation between players. Unlike previous installments, the game features no single-player campaign and offers an online mode, though it does allow players to play offline in single-player tutorials called Situations.

Team Focus

OU R6 fosters a culture of “Practice does not make perfect, but instead perfect practice makes perfect.”
Both the OU Crimson and OU Black teams practice Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with matches on Wednesday and Friday. The breakdown is as follows:

– Monday: scrimmage, strategy focused activity, or ranked play
– Tuesday: dedicated strategy practice for future implementation
– Thursday: VOD review of self and upcoming opposing teams

Milestones

– OU R6 was started in Fall 2020 as a singular team and has expanded into two for Fall 2021
– First intercollegiate development at OU where a non-student/non-alumni was selected to coach the team (2020-2021) and then continued the tradition into the next generation (Fall 2021+)
– Placed top 8 in Spring 2021 Collegiate R6 Open and now invited to “Premier” CR6 league for Fall 2021
– Played in Southern Esports Invitational and Faceit
