In 2017 when we dreamed up what the now Esports & Co-Curricular Innovation department is, we envisioned a physical space where students of all backgrounds could come together and bond over gaming. Over the last seven years, our program grew from a student organization (eSports Association at OU) to the licensed Sooner Esports Club RSO, and ultimately becoming an institutionally supported department under Student Affairs as The OU Esports & Co-Curricular Innovation program. In that time, we evolved from a virtual only community to a tiny office leveraging shared campus space and finally into our very own Developmental Clinic and Esports & Gaming Venue. Literal blood, sweat, and tears went into creating the space that the OU population will now have the privilege of calling home. Without the thanks of countless students, alumni, student parents, OU staff, and community partners, none of this would be in the state it is today.

We invite you to join us on Wednesday, March 27th from 10AM – 10PM to commemorate this monumental milestone, to see our long awaited venue, and sign up to use the space during our Launch Day! We will have tons of giveaways to give back to the OU community that has been patient and excited about this space. Keep reading to see how and what you have the chance to win! We promise, you won’t be disappointed.

Our Esports & Gaming Venue is meant to be a safe space for all interested in gaming or related interests. This means you, the gamer, regardless of if you are a hardcore or casual gamer, a pc or console user, or the FPS/Sports or cozy gamer. This also means if you just wanna come and hang out and watch then you’re welcome too! We welcome you all to OUr new home on campus for gaming and esports energies and we are excited to celebrate the start of this next chapter.
