OU Esports will be hosting the next event in the Watch Party Series at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20. The match that will be streamed is Overwatch 2: OU Crimson versus University of Ottawa that was played this past Tuesday, November 11.
Cale “Froggo” Childs, manager for the Overwatch 2 team, said the team’s synergy stood out in this game.
“Look forward to seeing some great teamplay,” Childs said. “We really played together here and synergized well, and that synergy allowed us to really dominate.”
According to Childs, while this game is being played on the last patch, fans can look forward toward a meta more similar to what was seen in the Overwatch League playoffs.
“The new metagame will be shifting more towards what we saw in Overwatch League,” Childs said. “Winston and Sojourn combo is king. However, I can say that OU will be showing a bigger variety with some Orisa and Sigma variety. Beyond that, we will look ahead to season 2 for more balance!”
Childs said you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled to not miss the action.
“Keep an eye on Revan and JeffyJa,” Childs said. “Both of them will get 3 to 4 kills out of nowhere. Don’t blink!”
The watch party will be held in the Crimson Room in the Memorial Union on November 20 at 2:00 p.m. and will feature live commentary.
