Join OU Esports in the Red River Rivalry against Longhorn Gaming

Saturday, October 29 is the fourth annual Red River Rivalry between OU Esports and Longhorn Gaming. Teams from both universities will compete against each other in your favorite games to raise money for Extra Life.

The first half of the titles will be streamed on Twitch.tv at UTLonghorn Gaming. Rocket League will play from 10:30-11:30 a.m., Splatoon 3 at 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Apex Legends at 12:30-2:00 p.m., and finally Overwatch 2 at 2:00-3:30 p.m..

The rest of the titles will be streamed on Twitch.tv at OUEsports. This starts off with a pre-recorded panel from 3:30-4:25 p.m., then Halo Infinite at 4:30-5:30 p.m., Rainbow 6 Siege at 5:30-6:30 p.m., and lastly League of Legends at 6:30-9:30 p.m.. 

The event will raise money for Extra Life, a program by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Extra Life brings gamers together to raise funds for children in need at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country.

Jodi “BosnWifey” Farmer, the assistant intercollegiate Esports director, is very excited to see everything that goes down at the event this Saturday. 

“I’m excited to put on my first big project that I had to be the lead on!” Farmer said. “I also can’t wait to see what Splatoon 3 is all about and its explosion of colors!”
