WELCOME TO THE OU GAMING CLUB!

For many of you who moved in earlier in August, you may have noticed our director Moog on the jumbotron in Lloyd Noble as you walked the concourse after getting your ID and access to your dorms. Now that you’re here, WELCOME! Let’s get to it! As you are settling in and as you complete your first “syllabus” week of classes we want to continue your rush of energy and invite you our own back to school series event which spans 3 total days on August 26-28 in the DIY space of Cross B. For our returning students, WELCOME BACK! You already know what’s up!

THANK YOU SPONSORS! GIVEAWAYS OVERVIEW

For the 2022 kick off we grew on top of last year’s total in $3500 prizes. First up is Computer Connection throwing in the biggest giveaway for the second year in a full custom built PC. Next up is none other than Streamlabs, a Logitech company with various attendance giveaways, Streamlabs Prime memberships, cash, and backpacks. Lastly, thanks to alumna, Anita Ly (Class of 2020, MBA) we have a full list of giveaways to spread the love across our community again for the new year!

HOW TO WIN!

We want to promote fellowship above all for our series of events like this and so our prizing structure will have that same intent. Each day will award you one(1) entry into prizing for Sundays giveaways. For Friday and Saturday events, there will strictly be Amazon gift card giveaways only. This means you can have up to three(3) entries for Sunday to increase your chances. The only requirement is to be a member of the OU Gaming Club by joining our Discord and registering as a student and then attending events, especially Sunday. You must be physically present Sunday to win the giveaways.

HOW PRIZING SELECTION WILL WORK: All students can only win one giveaway despite having three entries. The quantity of entries just bolsters your chance to win anything overall. We will be tracking attendance then using a digital randomizer for selection on Sunday. As a student wins anything their name will be removed from the list completely. Students can pass if they have multiple entries but it will consume one of their entries by doing so.

Prizes will be put into three tiers with Grand Prize (PC) exclusive to undergrads.

  • Tier 1: $99 or less in value
  • Tier 2: $100-$299 in value
  • Tier 3: $300-$599 in value
  • Tier 4: Gaming PC (Undergrads only)

– CLICK HERE TO SEE THE TIER LIST!!! –

The fine print: Sunday prizing is exclusive to OU students in attendance ONLY. The Sunday grand prize is exclusively for undergrad students at the request of the donors. Winner of the grand prize will have to fill out a W-9 for tax reporting and we will discuss it in depth before awarding the prize so there are no surprises. We will be taking pictures with winners throughout the weekend so please anticipate that especially for the bigger prizes.
