Have you ever wanted to play games with friends, but not owned the game you were looking for or maybe your house isn’t big enough for all friends? Well, you’re in luck! Just down the street from OU campus lies Commonspace Game Cafe, a place for people to gather, eat food, and play games.
As you step into the cafe you are greeted by a massive amount of board games, and that is bu our standards! For a small fee of $5, you and your friends can have access to every single game for the afternoon, or you can get a monthly pass and head back whenever you want.
Not interested in board games, or just want to come hang out on your own? Commonspace has a ton of new and old arcade games for you to play. Or you can play on one of their consoles, hooked up to a Nintendo Switch-themed TV!
Commonspace also has weekly RPG nights where folks can gather under a skilled Dungeon Master to enjoy some inventive storytelling and dice slinging! Commonspace also hosts several other events too, such as a leatherworking workshop, wine and paint nights, plus a film workshop! Events happen regularly and can be found on their website.
Think you might want a bite to eat while you’re playing? Don’t worry, Commonspace has you covered. They serve tons of great food and even have vegetarian and lactose intolerant options! You no longer have to interrupt your game time to go get food.
Commonspace is also accommodating for coronavirus, with socially distanced and sanitized tables, as well as a back room that you can reserve for you and your friends to play games in.
