This previous weekend, the OU Esports Club saw another successful campus Overwatch Tournament. Four teams of free agents met up in Carson Hall to battle for bragging rights as well as some Amazon gift cards. The teams were balanced based upon the information given by players when they registered. Players of all ranges were welcome to play. Computers with Overwatch, Discord, and headsets were provided for players, and players were welcome to bring their own equipment such as mice and keyboards. Players seemed excited to have the opportunity to attend and compete alongside other OU students. There were even console players who attended and supplemented by using their preferred controller.

Coming in first place was the team “You’re Welcome” followed by “Team Too” in second. “Gallogly’s Budget Cuts” and “Yah Yeet” came in third and fourth place respectively. The entire tournament was streamed on the OU Esports Club Twitch channel as future tournaments will be. The shoutcasting division flexed their casting prowess over the course of the stream. The stream is also still available to watch on the Twitch channel should you wish to catch up on the action.
