On March 24th and 25th, The College Carball Association partnered with AVGL to host their Rocket League Invitational. The Esports Association at the University of Oklahoma sent two teams to compete; ‘OU Sooners’ and ‘Not Just Fast But Furious.’
In the first round, ‘Not Just Fast But Furious’ went up against ‘Store Boys’ from Pennsylvania State University. They both ended up pointless with no wins.
In round two ‘OU Sooner’ went head to head with ‘UT White’ from The University of Texas-Austin. ‘UT White’ won this round of the Red River Rivalry 3-0. Also in the second round ‘Not Just Fast But Furious’ went against ‘University of Utah’ and lost 3-0.
‘Not Fast But Furious’ went on to play against ‘CB’ from The University of Oregon and ending in a 0-0 match. The teams were then pitted up against each other for ‘Not Fast But Furious’ last match and ‘OU Sooners’ won 3-0.
For ‘OU Sooners,’ they had a Red River Rivalry rematch against ‘UT White,’ where they were defeated once again 2-0.
Both teams were eliminated and did not play the second day of competition.
