Relaxation Suggestions Continued

By December 6, 2018 Author's Opinions, Misc.

I will be adding on some of my own opinions to the article already started by one of our great writers, Courtney Johnson. These are just some of the games I consider to be very relaxing and usually play during some of the most stressful times of my life:

1.Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Crash has always been a huge part of my life, and so when life gets hard, this is the game I go back to. The joys of running, jumping, spinning and smashing boxes are relaxing. Completing a level makes whatever stress I’m feeling just melt away. It is not a competition. There is no playing for score, it is just having a good time and completing one level after another.

2. Pokémon Go

When life has me down, sometimes all I need is a nice walk through the local park to catch some pokemon. Whether I am hatching eggs, farming candies, or trying to find a gym I can take, Pokemon Go is a great way to get away from the stress of the world and enter the world of pokemon.

3. Mario Kart

Nothing feels better than demolishing people in Mario Kart. I find it relaxing to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online and remind people they are not as good as they think they are. Sometimes this game can backfire and almost give me an ulcer, but the majority of the time I can get rid of the worries of my day by lapping some people online.

4. Mario Party

Sitting down and hanging out with friends after I have had a bad day would not be the same without a game of Mario Party. Win or lose, Mario Party is so much fun I never really care how I am doing. I promise, whether I am in first or last, my stress levels are going down.

5. THE GAME I AM MOST EXCITED TO RELAX AND PLAY: Super Smash Bros Ultimate

I have been waiting for the game since it was announced, and now on the final day I have to wait, I can watch people from other countries on Twitch and see what I am soon to be able to play. Smash Ultimate will be the game I play all the time to take my mind off the world around me and just get lost in a video game. Unlocking all of the characters, playing the story mode, playing on actually good online servers for the first time ever (thank you Nintendo!), I could not be more excited to invest my time in a game.

I hope all of you have a great dead week and finals week and remember to always take some time to relax. Stressing has never done anything but hurt people.
